Stumbled across this place after running some errands in Bayridge with my mom & sister— Decided to give it a try and we were honestly not disappointed at all! We got the big meal of chicharon de pollo, white rice, black beans, platanos maduros and a large pineapple jarritos. The lady was super sweet and nice and the place is also super clean! Will definitely be returning.

Service is better this time than last, years ago. Portion of food is above average than most restaurants. Food taste delicious and prices are good comparing how much you get. Location is in the heart of bay ridge. Family friendly as well. Overall will definitely go again and highly recommend this establishment to the general public.

Delicious mofongo being made at this location. I ordered a cheese mofongo for myself and a mofongo de chicharron for my partner. Both of us were very satisfied with the flavor, consistency and size of the mofongo. Next time I get a craving for mofongo I would definitely return to El Malecon.

It's so nice to have a delicious Spanish restaurant so close to home! I tried it randomly one day, delivery. *I fell in love* with their garlic sauce & green sauce.. i dipped my chicken in them both & that was it for me. Rice, beans, rotisserie chicken (well done is best), avocado salad, Maduros (well, well done! Literally, DARK & sweet).. my fave way to have them.. of course asking if the maduros are at their peak so you have an idea of what to expect.. & that's that. I order their lunch special now. GREAT value! My plate is jam packed, comes with a water most times unless there is a rush and it's forgotten... i highly recommend. based off other reviews... i get it... Unfortunately.... part of being in the city are some pesky roaches making their appearance once in a while. i havent seen any.. I'd be grossed out, sure... but not mad at the ppl or restaurants... those things are a forever thing. Lol (no, i dont have any in my home, however, they lived rent free in my childhood home & we mopped & swept very often & made sure everything was tidy & clean before bed. & those suckers were still giving birth left & right. & creeping in from the hallway or from next door neighbors.) anyway, I've seen roach traps etc. Even in upscale places. Doesn't mean place is dirty.. I cnt blame them for wanting some Malecon ! It's delicious! :D
